Utilizing research based leadership, financial, and operations management techniques, I drill down in all facets of how an organization runs to remove waste and optimize performance. Culture and leadership are what drives personnel engagement and performance. Financial quantitative management and analytic operations research are what optimizes the system. Combined they drive high performance in an organization.
Restructuring can be one of the most challenging things for an organization to undertake. Besides the complicated technical side of restructuring, there is the even more complicated human side of it. I focus the majority of my efforts in restructuring at managing the personal effects to different parties, and ensuring as much of a win-win scenario as feasible for everyone involved.
Portfolio management must be accomplished in a strategic manner and align with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategy. My portfolio management methodologies focus on strategic management, governance, performance management, communications, and risk management. This provides the framework within which to successfully manage the portfolio of projects, programs, and operations.
Turnarounds, like restructuring, have a large human element in them. When I’m working to turnaround a project, program, or organization, my focus is on speed of execution. A new leader only has a short period to make an impact on an organization before “business as usual” goes back on. This window is the time to make a big impact and get the organization going on the right track.
The key to program management success is implementation and execution. The best laid plans and vision can’t succeed without leadership in execution. I ensure personnel understand the mission, are in a position to excel and dominate, and focus resources to carrying out the core program mission.
Strategy without execution is little more than a planning exercise. I drive implementation of strategy from top to bottom to meet the goals and objectives of organizations, and where possible use agile management techniques to obtain better and faster results
